Festive lights.
I have had a mid-week day off today. I was still up at at 06:00 am to take she who must be obeyed to work for 07:00 am. Thank the lord for Yorkshire tea-bags, made with water from the lake district Didn't really achieve much, other than 2 good rooting sessions at the car boot. I came home with nowt, but a few good books. Some very interesting American literature, which I may read straightaway, or save for my next hols, should there be any. My brother-in-law Johnathon was going to fit a tow-bar for me, but alas, the rain prevented this. We have re-arranged this for Sunday, weather permitting. No sweat. The new to me car has a capacious boot. Taking Maggie for her evening constitutional, I noticed this scene, and whether you like lights or not, for a miserable curmudgeon like me, it is a reminder that the season is upon us. My elder daughter Katy, just told me that when she took Maggie for a walk, a big ginger tom cat tried to chase our cat Nelly, who always accompanies Maggie on her walks. Maggie was displeased with this and gave the offending moggie the sharp edge of her tongue.
