Portrait of a Young Artist
I am sure I have mentioned how much we all adore Isabella's friends. They are such an exceptional bunch of young women. So creative and intelligent but more then anything so incredibly supportive of one another. I have always been rather partial to Indi. Mostly because she reminds me so much of Isabella, both artists with a certain quiet reserve but also because she always makes a bit of time for me when she visits our home. The two of them are often mistaken for sisters (even I can see that) although I won't entertain Isabella's belief that Indi is a prettier version of herself. I just can't see that at all.
Indi is what Isabella refers to as "so everything." She is a serious academic, an exceptionally talented artist and dancer but her greatest passion is the stage. Namely Shakespearean theatre. To act on the stage of the Globe theatre is her ultimate ambition. I have no doubt we will see her there.
Almost all of Isabella's friends have decided to move to Westminster to do their A levels next year. Although she won't say too much about it, except to wish them well I know she is very upset about the group breaking up. I am hoping that it will all be okay for her.
Isabella chose this portrait of Indi for today's blip . She felt this shadowy, dramatic image best reflects Indi's nature.
