Bleak

This was the view from my office window tonight.

For the first time in my 10 year career I decided not to go to the office Christmas party. My flatmates were appalled. My father was dismayed. My friends understood.

But it's a funny feeling turning your back on tradition, even if you are following your instincts and doing what feels right. Maybe it's a trace of guilt or feeling like a miserable Scrooge....
