One thing about going on holiday up north is that you have to get used to holidaying in dark, grey, rainy days.

I don't mind it so much to be honest. I think that the north of Scotland lends itself very nicely to stormy, gloomy weather and I find it really easy to relax.

Plockton is very pretty. Lots of great food, great ale, and a bloody good, bloody close game of darts.

As a family, we have discovered the 3 of us holiday very well together. Hoorah.

p.s - in case you didn't know, Plockton is where 'Hamish MacBeth' was filmed....Robert Carlyle = YUM.
