Ennuff winter!
Scent and colour at this time of year. The Garden Fairy has overcome all obstacles, many placed by me deliberately, and produced some wallflowers. Even now their scent is light and delicate as you wander around the squishy tundra. This image is nothing special, just a hand held macro, no lighting, only the sun, but I need colour. We were at Wheal Coates this morning and stood in the lee of the engine house while blues, greys, jades and all sorts of ice and rain swept past us. The rock strata are fascinating. I'm being taken back soon to have a poke around the remains of a tiny quarry by the buildings, you can actually see tiny fissures where the folding pressure of the rock layers being squeezed together has cause what may be described as a 'burst.' I'm no geologist by any means, but the structures are beautiful.
