Big Wheel

Met J in town today by the big wheel, we went to the newly reopened Scottish National Portrait Gallery. The refurbishment has made a huge improvement all round.

We had lunch in the cafe then toured the galleries, I loved the War at Sea exhibition, with some wonderful paintings by Sir John Lavery. His paintings of WWI battleships in the Forth, and of Scapa Flow are outstanding.

Back home now feeling a bit washed out, time for a cuppa and a bit of a rest before the folks arrive.
