Guhonda

What an amazing day, trekking into the Rwandan forest near the Ugandan border. We went tot see the Sabyinyo group, had a great trek for one hour, and then found them all in a clearing.

It is fabulous to be just a few metres from these magnificent animals. There were two infants which kept us entertained by jumping all over the adult gorillas. They are hard to get. Guhonda is the largest Silverback in the area, and what a sight to behold.

You can only stay one hour with the group, no flashes, then slink away to leave them in peace. An amazing experience.
