Leighton Beach

Leighton Beach is just north of the Port of Fremantle and about 5km south of our main Cottesloe Beach.

The backdrop is the Port of Fremantle with its container yards and storage facilities.

The beach is quite protected and is shallower and flatter than the more northern beaches. It is very popular with people living in the Fremantle area.

It has good bar and coffee facilities at the seaside restaurant, aptly named "Salt". I had one or two long black coffees earlier today trying to work out what may be a good shot for todays blip.
