Peeling

Pub lunch followed by a walk around Marlow to give the D300 a test (and to show Dad - he'd have liked it :-). Had set up a 'vivid' picture setting in advance to see what the results would be like - lots of in-camera sharpening, contrast and saturation. Great camera to intuitively use (although the weight is a huge change to the D50), and soon snapping away and changing settings with the well placed dials and buttons.

Results impressive having just put them on the Mac - vivid, saturated colours leaping from the screen with minimal tinkering needed. For JPEGs and 'instant' pictures it's superb. The advanced RAW stuff can wait for another day.
