Father and Son

Quick blip as I need to get the laundry out before Steve can go to bed as he's holding Charley at the moment!

Today: Steve's parents have been here, cuddling Charley, playing with Ben. Steve's had a bit of a day off. I can't remember a great deal of today.... Oh. I had a bath. That was nice. :)

This afternoon we went out to have a quick look for a fridge-freezer and tumbledrier at the scratch'n'dent place down the road while our winter wheels were being fitted and balanced on the car (come on snow, we're ready for you). Ten minutes flat we'd found what we wanted, decent reconditioned things, for 2/3rds of the money we'd been given for Christmas by my parents for a fridge-freezer!! The remainder can go towards a new camera I think :) While we were out we popped into a carpet shop and I fell in love (as much as one *can* fall in love with carpet) with a beautiful striped design for the stairs and landing so we're allowing ourselves to dream and are getting them in to measure up in the new year ;)

I had to sing Twinkle Twinkle to Ben this evening as I managed to forget where I'd put my phone (I put in down in the bathroom when cleaning his teeth and promptly forgot about it *sigh* I've lost count of the number of times I've done that now) and I'm pleased that I remembered most of the words.

Yes, there are more verses. And I did pretty well to remember it all! Ben prompted me a couple of times... that's pretty embarrassing really...

Been wrapping presents this evening ready for Steve's parents to take back with them to Manchester to deliver to my parents who can hopefully transport them to my brother and his family in Norway. The presents are bigger than I expected. Like, twice as big...

Anyway. Am only blipping now really because Charley wanted feeding again - I have housework to do still before I can actually go to bed! Steve is at work tomorrow so he has to go to bed, and I guess I'll have to wrap Charley up if I'm going to get things done quickly so I can go to bed sooner rather than later...
