Patiently Waiting

Jumping in with both feet, and actively participating in life, doesn't change the fact that there is always a mini 'me' inside, who sits, like the Pierrot who sits in this window, patiently waiting for the sun to rise on every conversation, every unsolved mystery, every lonely heart. Sitting and listening to the longings of those whose hearts ache to be 'home' but who are never really 'at home' when they're at their residence. "Home" isn't a location, and it's not even where our favorite belongings are. "Home" is where we feel safe, secure and united with a heart, or hearts, we love. It's possible to feel 'at home' anywhere that you don't feel alone, anywhere there is shared experience, joy, hope and a good meal or a lovely cuppa. Patiently waiting for the sun to rise, and for hope to be fulfilled...for that proverbial 'ship' to come in. Home is contentment, right where you're at, that there is purpose in your waiting and you will never be forgotten.
