Office Tinsel

One more day in the office tomorrow before I break up for Christmas, then I've got 3 days holiday up to the New Year so I don't go back until 3 Jan - can't wait to chill out and have some serious lie-ins. I'm also planning to catch up on some reading, looking forward to getting reacquainted with my kindle.

These are some of our office Christmas decorations - amazingly no-one has stopped us putting them up - it involves getting someone tall (so not me then!) to stand on a desk and push the ceiling tiles up to attach the streamers - surely a dangerous process, not to mention fire risk! In the London offices, they aren't allowed to attach anything to ceilings or walls so it is very short on tinselly Christmas cheer there.

All the office floors are open plan, but quite a few different teams so there is some variety in the quality and quantity of tinsel. These are my team's decorations, not too bad as we had a whip round last year and got some new tinsel. But the team next to us has some very high quality stuff, clearly a bigger budget than us ;o) Further down the office, there is a small team of Scrooges with no tinsel at all, shocking! All men in that team, bet they don't do Secret Santa either.

Only 5 of us are in tomorrow so we are going to start the day with breakfast in the canteen - one of the girls is threatening to bring in some festive headwear, and we're doing dress down - sadly I don't have a Christmas jumper as that would have been perfect.

After work, I'm planning to go to the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham as it is the last day - need to have one more gluwein before it closes.
