By Day A Normal Tree; By Night . . . It's Magic!

The other evening, I drove through a residential neighborhood I used to live in to look at the Christmas lights.

This tree has a tire swing hanging from it. The family living there decorated the whole tree and the tire with strands of lights. It was impossible to drive past without stopping for a better look; Oooh! and then Aaah!

One of the things I love about Christmas lights is how they can bring about the transformation from ordinary to extraordinary.

It can seem so dark this time of year. But you know what? The darker the night, the brighter the lights appear.

By day, it's a normal tree. But night time comes, the lights go on, and suddenly . . . it's magic!
