Christmas Eve....

My favourite day of the year. :-))

I don't know why because it is invariably spent rushing around doing final preparations and today, I even did a huge ironing!!! I am also just about to rush out with my neice's birthday pressies and deliver a bundle of Christmas pressies to my bestest pal's house. And it's pouring rain!

But when I get back the magic begins. Good food, a glass of something alcofrolic, feet up and a good film, watched by the lights of the Christmas tree......ah bliss :-) And I can fully relax and enjoy the anticipation of the next week and the precious time spent with family and friends. Time to remember times past and loved ones no longer with us and look forward to the wonderful memories about to be created from this years festivities.

I know not everyone believes the Christmas story but I couldn't resist blipping my little nativity scene. For me, if anything can be taken from the Christmas message, it's that hope reins supreme.

And my hope for you this Christmas, my wonderful blip friends, is that you have people to love and people to love you back. When all is said and done, that is all we really need.
