Christmas greetings

A few of the cards we have received this year presented the message of Christmas presented in a clear and lovely way. So many names and titles are linked with the name of Jesus, and He fills out all of them so perfectly.

The middle card is touching because the stamp on the back says "Rwanda Restored - made by the widows and orphans".

Joy to the world, the Lord has come.

There was no need for the Lord to be born into this world. He had eternal life, and had indeed created the life of this world. Yet He chose to be born into life as a human being.

There was no need for the Lord to die. He alone was without sin, the one thing that is the real cause of death. Yet He chose to die, bearing our sins in His own body on the tree.

Through Him come greatest gifts we can ever receive - forgiveness, eternal life and a relationship with a loving yet holy God.

Thanks be to God for His unpseakable gift.
