Wild Christmas

A special treat for Xmas morning today. After the stockings were torn apart but before lunch and the main presents were opened it was time to venture down to visit the new additions at Edinburgh Zoo.

And we did manage to meet the Giant Pandas.

Yes, they can look cute and cuddly.

Most of the time.

These are wild animals. If Mr Panda meets Mrs Panda outside of the few days that she's in season in a year he may kill her.

She has been warned.

Luckily the expert keepers at the zoo know all about thier little marriage foibles.

Now some peope are anti-zoo. Maybe we should just see giant pandas on TV and not have them in zoos. And then in a hundred years when there are none left you can still see them on telly in re-runs.

Or you can get off the sofa, get down to the zoo and show your support for their rescue.

After all, Billions of humans across the world have almost made them extinct.

Luckily a few are working hard to save them from such a fate.
