It's a festive day!

July 3rd fireworks at Navy Pier!

Laura, Justin, Joe, Joe's girlfriend, Jason, and I ventured out to Museum Campus to watch the famous July 3rd fireworks. However, Laura and I were very resolute about going to the lake walk so we could get the most perfect view ever. So we left the group & waded through the masses of people to grace our eyes with this view. The skyline pictured above was on our left. If you look closely, you can see the millions and millions of people on the walkway near the lake. And this is just Museum Campus! Imagine how crowded Navy Pier, Fullerton beach, and North Avenue beach must have been!

And now on to the most important news of the day... Congratulations to Josh & Jessica Affholter on the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Spencer Astrid! I can't wait to meet her!
