Merry Christmas!

I love the thought of this; while all around her there is chaos, excitement and drama, Mary (who probably had the most right to panic) just quietly contemplates the daunting task ahead of her, and savours the calm before the storm.

Small moments of peace are just as precious today, I think. Like when all the build up and angst of Christmas Day just dissolves as soon as everyone is sat around the table toasting each other - it's lovely.
