Kutna Hora - The Italian Court

We went out to the UNESCO designated site of historical interest, Kutna Hora, about 60 Km from Prague.

Gazweasel, you will love it.

It was the heart of the Czech silver mining and a hugely important town in the Middle Ages and continues to be beautifully well preserved and with lots to see.

The photo is of the Italian Court, an interesting building closely connected to the minting of silver coins.

We had a super Czech lunch - but very heavy. Dumplings were tasty but sit very heavy. We had duck (as one of our friends said, " a fitting prelude to our visit to Swan Lake this evening.)

So shortly we will be joining the locals in their finery at the State Opera (our finery will not match but I hope they will forgive us !!!)

Another super day in this fabulous country
