Help! There's a stove in my kitchen (1)
Not sure if I told you but hubby and the boys bought me a recipe book. 'Help! There's a stove in my kitchen' by Annabel Frere. Tonight we tried the chicken pie. Considering it was our first attempt at it - not bad at all, but I think I will be tweaking it.
Yesterday our internet connection was very bad and eventually we phoned our provider and although they swore blind that nothing was wrong..blah, blah, blah.....it is working fine again today. I wonder for how long.
Tried to buy the boys stationery for school next year. I eventually stormed out of the shop leaving our basket full as the staff were so unhelpful. I am not sure how many times I asked a staff member about something and they were off to find something out but never returned. Needless to say that I totally lost my cool. The total disinterest and 'f' you attitude - well I'm sure they don't need our business.
The geyser is leaking and trust it to happen on a freaking public holiday that should not have been one in the first place. Now we are sitting without water cause we refuse to call in a plumber on a public holiday. A gym visit might be in order, if only to shower :D
I realize there are a lot of working souls who appreciate this holiday but 3 public holidays in a row is rather frustrating when you are trying to get things done.
The good news is I managed to find a pair of flip-flops at the first shop I walked into - right size and just what I wanted. I also managed to get some gym pants. If I don't get back to gym, running and cycling soon - two years of hard work will be down the toilet if it is not already. From being happy to be in photos, to hiding behind my kids (not good). Today was dust off my workout books and locate water bottles.
Otherwise it is still very wet here in SA where we live. Hope the sun shines soon.
