Christmas Day 2011
Today we spent Christmas day at my brother's place with his family. What a fun day!!
I cooked a leg of lamb, red cabbage, roast potatoes and a trifle. We ate like kings. There was so much food left over. I packed two take-away cartons with helpings and tomorrow we will pass it on to someone in need who didn't get to have a Christmas lunch.
On our way to my brother's we stopped at one of the local shopping centers to draw out some cash at the ATM - we were shocked to see that not only was the Liquor Store open for business but so was the Spar. I was really peeved about the Liquor store - that hubby pulled off very quickly. I remember a time when nothing was open on Christmas day. We also started talking about how Sunday's used to be nothing but family as there were no shops open except for maybe the corn Cafe. Enough about that....
The boys got really spoilt. Josh got his camera and it has barely left his sight all day. Brad got a Magic Kit and has been his element and put on a show for all of us. They are now building their Lego Hero's with their Dad. :-)
I got spoilt as well - I'm very blessed to be married to the man I am.
I hope you all had a wonderful day. Here's hoping you had the best Merry Christmas Ever!!
p.s. Thank you all for the wonderful wishes yesterday.
