Parlour games

After a warm and humid Boxing Day, with lots of gin and tonic to blunt the noise of aircraft thundering overhead every three minutes, those of the family whose brains were still functioning after 9.30 pm settled down to a game of "Balderdash" (the expanded version, with obscure names, dates, acronyms and film titles as well as words). Basically you have to come up with witty yet believable definitions/synopses etc. None of us took too much notice of "believable", so it became quite hilarious (you had to be there).

Here, Sam is cleverly making up a more ridiculous answer than her Mum or Uncle John. At this point she needed more chocolate...
