The Vicar came to Tea
Hubby and I were up at 3. 30am today, to take Lisey to Manchester airport. She only took a' slight' detour to New York via Chicago, in order to keep costs down!It was so strange watching her go through customs on her own.I wanted to be by her side. She looked so small and vulnerable.
Her first flight left 15 minutes early, good news, as she had very little time to make her connection.Just had a text from her saying she has reached Chicago but that there is a chip in the plane windscreen ,so they are delayed by 45 minutes at present, while they fly in a a replacement plane.Trying to contact Mikey to let him know. So, only Fraz left now.
Tonight the Vicar(and her husband) came to tea .We call her 'The Vicar of Dibley' because she reminds us so much of Dawn French but she is actually godmother to our three children. She and her husband have moved out of the area to Warwickshire, so came this evening to deliver Christmas presents. They have been our close friends since our two husbands got their first jobs together in the same company. Always nice to catch up.
Kinda like this comic book type effect ,showing their legs under the table and reflections in the table.Quite confusing.
"To know someone here or there
with whom you can feel
there is understanding
in spite of distances or
thoughts expressed
That can make life a garden.
My friends are my estate."
