Seeing Winter in the Northwest #2
Poinsetta plants are a sure sign of December in this part of the world. I was given a "planter" with a pointsetta, a spiky green plant I can't identify and a white flowering plant of the begonia family, I think. ;-) Some sprigs of rosemary too which has added a fun aroma to the air. I was practicing with the plastic optic lensbaby lens today and well, this image was at hand.
I love the etherial, dreamy look that is the result of using this lens. It mimics a toy camera. Adds some mystery to this plant and arrangement. I now respond more to the colours than the image itself. For me it evokes the interior reds and greens that we use to keep the grey at bay.
