A&E

Gosh, what a day! I didn't get in until very late last night (see backblip from yesterday) and Grace was stirring all night as she's got a couple more teeth coming through. She needed some meds at 5am, when she woke and couldn't settle. We were still very tired when Grace got up at 8pm and then disaster struck when she fell off the changing table.

Grace was inconsolable. She wouldn't stop crying and still had episodes of tears as she ate her breakfast, so we called NHS Direct, who sent out an ambulance. We went to A&E where she was checked out by a doctor and sent for x-rays because the grip in her right side wasn't 100%, but luckily nothing unusual was found and by this time she was a lot more settled (though very tired).

We need to keep an eye on her for a few days because of the bump she had to her head. I know that accidents are a part of having kids, but they happen so easily and so very quickly, within a split second. This one shook us up very badly. We're just glad that - apart from being a Snotmonster because of her teething - Grace now seems fine.
