This is the second before Alice fell off her chair. After a few minutes of me goading so I could get this amazing shot (!?) she looked up and promptly fell backwards off her perch. She is absolutely fine and not hurt whatsoever. Honest.

Oh, and that is our table drawing cloth - left over from last night's kitchen lecture shenanigans, which included some surrealist drawing games. It does look like Alice at the ripe old age of very nearly two is incredibly proficient on the old doodling front. but, alas no.
