Genius in the making

Today has possibly been one of the hardest most taxing days since my transfer to group. Not only have I been lumbered with being head IT support on a project bit I've also managed to land the role of SQL developer on the external system we are paying through the nose for.

IT support (the real IT support, known as the help desk but referred to more often than not as 'the desk') were as useful as ever. I sometimes wonder what panic must pass through them when anyone asks anything other than ..... Can u reset my password to computer.

After 8 painstaking hours I've managed to crack part 1. Most days I live up to being blonde but today I am pleased to report I'm being more of a light/mousey brown. :-)

Met an old friend for a drink tonight. Despite being rather tired from work I had a really good nite. It's nice being able to go out with people u haven't seen in ages and still be able to chat about everything and nothing all at the same time.

I did feel rather old by the time I left as almost everyone in the pub seemed to be on the wrong side of 20..... Or the right side depending on how far past it you are! Spotty teenagers dressed in next to nothing! Oh the joys of being cold.... I mean young! Give me my whooley pulley and an anorak any day!
