Gales in Scotland

Returned to Scotland to 70 m.p.h winds last night.

To-day the gales have abated and I walked into Mine Woods to see the damage.

The wind had ripped a huge banch off this oak tree but there was not as much destruction as I had expected .

We have had such severe storms over the past two years that old or weak trees and branches have already been brought down.
