Overhang Completed (Nearly)

More or less finished the overhang today. The roof decking went on (quite straight forward), the felt went on (eventually), new shingles went on (can't cut straight to save my life), cleaned up the trim and fitted that (looks ok from a distance), and redid all the electrics outside as well.

Electrics are always interesting. Seeing how other people wired things up and then tracing every back to the anonymous breaker box.

But now instead of a hanging light fixture off the back of the house (it never went back up after the vinyl siding was done), I had great pleasure in cutting that whole circuit off and pulling out the old cable. Replaced with a nice motion unit under the refurbed overhang instead.

Tomorrow I'll repaint the whole set up again, including the door and door frame. With any luck I can put final coats on as well.
