I leave for Africa in 9 days. The fact sank in as I was waiting at Munich for my flight home from Bavaria this afternoon.

I wasn't on this BA flight. It was just there as I passed a few moments before EasyJet whisked me back to Edinburgh.

I have a ton of stuff to do before then, but the thought of being in Addis Ababa on Saturday next week was enough to ward off the grey sky December blues.

Yep, BMI to LHR and then on to Addis Ababa. A few days acclimatising there, some sightseeing, maybe some gentle exercise... then Ethiopian Airlines to Arusha in Tanzania.
