Looking forward

It was great to meet up with some special friends for lunch today, but on the blip front, I'm really struggling, as it was dull and gloomy and the lovely rural views I'd hoped I might capture were non-existent.
Instead I'm resorting to a photo of my 2011 kitchen windowsill diary and the new 2012 version. This is where I note what birds visit the garden so I can record any new or unusual visitors. I can't believe how different it was last year at this time, and if I'm honest, I much preferred it to this year's winter weather so far.
