Fishing

The promised bad weather was slow in arriving, so lots of relaxing, eating, reading, and a few jobs. Like clearing a slip in the stream where the water supply comes from, painting some of the roof, and then at 5pm I launched a fishing trip with the kids.

It was a bit of a handful (until backup arrived) to organise 5 kids. Baiting, casting, detangling etc. But they all absolutely love it and we caught a few fish. 2 snapper, 1 kawhai, 1 trevally. Then at 6.30 the kids went back for dinner and I went further out around the rocks. Caught around 20 snapper and interestingly, 10 rock cod. I kept 4 snapper, the rest were a little small.
