Keeping Dry
Early blip today as I'm having a very domestic morning, then off to Schull to relieve Rachel in the shop, as she is feeling under the weather.
These are our two donkeys, mother and daughter, they looked very damp today but at least their backs are dry under their blankets. They keep the meadows grazed and provide the garden with manure, I had great ideas about them pulling a cart and carrying tools and firewood in paniers but they are the most stubborn creatures and the effort involved was more than me carrying the stuff myself !!!!! In the spring and summer when the meadows are in full of flowers and butterflies and the donkeys are on the hill, I really appreciate their winter grazing, which is all part of the process.
