Happy New Year

The New Year was brought in at the local farm in the company of good friends and with lots to eat and drink. After the bells, the farmer's daughter played a number of tunes on the bagpipes, including some we could all sing along to. It was great fun and there was much laughter.

Despite it being well after 2 o'clock before I got to bed, I was determined to try and capture the first sunrise of the year. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't playing ball and the clouds were sitting heavily on the horizon. However, I went out for a walk with the camera and managed to get a few blips including this one. The sun had been up for over an hour and the colours that did appear were more diluted than they might have been earlier. Never mind its a glimpse of the sun, which we haven't seen much of lately.

I hope 2012 brings health and happiness to all blippers and more great blips!
