Proud Dad yet again!

After reaching 365 blips in a row last year, I decided to wait to today to start again so that I had a full calendar year to aim for. And what a day to start again....

My son Martin today received his Queen Scout Award from the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire. This is the highest award in Scouting and his District Commissioner arranged for him to have it presented this morning so that he was the first scout to receive the award in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year.

Not only that, but we flicked on the BBC news tonight to see his mug beaming back at us!! Looks like the Scouts publicity machine was in overdrive!!

We've got to go to Windsor in April where he will be at a reception with 'a member of the Royal Family' - might even be Queenie herself!!
