Under the stairs...

Last night was the first New Years Eve that we have been out since having the girls. We were feeling brave so decided that we'd have a first attempt at putting the girls down to sleep and them moving them home once they'd been asleep for several hours. We just went over to my brother's so it was familiar territory and wouldn't be too much of a disaster if it all went a bit wrong! When we got there the girls wanted to make a den in the alcove under the stairs, and then asked if they could sleep there - so that's where they started the new year, fast asleep under the stairs!

The rest of us had a lovely evening while they were snoring away - a nice dinner, games and champagne at midnight, but for me the highlight was the girls being so well behaved and then the lovely snuggles that I got from them as we put them to bed when we eventually got home about 1:30 am!

2011 was such a lovely year - loads of fun times with my beautiful little family. Here's to more of the same in 2012... :-)
