Defeated!

I was entertained by this squirrel at lunchtime. I never knew a squirrel could fold her arms. Perhaps she's tapping her foot too! (View large .)

We used to have a problem with the squirrels opening the old bird feeder and eating the whole contents. How they managed it, we don't know, because we never caught them at it. This one really is squirrel proof, as well as providing some protection to small birds against the sparrow hawk.

I don't feel too bad about not feeding the grey squirrels. There are red ones on the hill nearby but they have never come down into the garden.
