Snowfall - with a scent!
I believe snow is on its way. I would be happy enough to enjoy my own snow from this lovely tin - from Susan for Christmas!
I made an emergency trip to the parentals today - up at 5.30am, left at 6.15, arrived at 8.40am - wonderfully quiet roads. Mum's sore throat of Hogmany developed rapidly - she had no voice and seemed to be really suffering. Dad is deaf - so between them, they couldn't manage NHS 24's barrage of pertinent questions.
All I did was to arrange a Dr to visit this morning, to reassure them both and to take down and pack up her Christmas decorations, make lunch and then leave!!
The doc was delightful and was so patient and thorough. He gave her some anti-bi's to get her through to tomorrow and was really kind to her. Just his kindness made her feel better.
I watched the wild weather warning for tomorrow on the lunchtime news - and announced my departure!! I couldn't wait there til Wednesday as it's back to the workhouse on Thursday. It also stopped mum trying to chat to me so she had a great sleep instead! I returned in 3 hours and another easy drive - phew - I was quite tired!
The good news is that my sister will visit mum tomorrow. She has a big truck so will be fine in inclement weather!
Hope your day was more relaxing than mine! Still better than the shops!!!!
