Is it a dog?

Today I was invited to accompany a friend off Twitter on a walk raising funds for the charity Help fo Heroes. I'd never met him before but he assured me there'd be lots of company.

The walk was taking place in a village not that far from me and the meeting place was the pub. Arrived in good time to find the place teeming with dogs! It was, apparently, a dog walk. My friend had his Jack Russell with him and there were all shapes and sizes. And, as you can see, there was also a Llama from the nearby trecking centre.

It was perfect weather for a walk, a bit bracing in places but extremely pleasant. Everyone was very friendly and the 5 miles soon passed. As far as I know all the dogs behaved reasonably well and Jake, the Jack Russell, had a great time.

Back at the pub everyone rested and had some well-earned refreshment. This picture was taken then. A rather surreal sight for any unsuspecting motorist!!
