Final excesses

Last big day of the holidays and we managed to drag ourselves out for a last lunch with our house guests. Here's Jackson enjoying a whole portion of brownie and ice cream, having waited until after it arrived to remind me that we normally make him and Anna share a portion. Today's blip could have been of another (SooB) playing sport (if table tennis on our dining table counts as sport) but I was banned as apparently she doesn't do sport. Which I beg to differ after seeing some fine action at the table.

Waved goodbye to our friends and headed to the theatre above the pub at the end of our road for a great production of Rodger & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Just time now for a light tea and curling up with the Christmas Dr Who (so to speak).

In the words of Anna at bedtime, it's been the best Christmas and New Year of my life. So far.
