Hiding solo

It's been very blustery here all day - with lashing rain at times - but not as dramatic as in many other parts of the UK.

During one of the lulls, I went out into the garden to see how the ladybirds were faring. The usual ones were huddled together in one of the monkey puzzles and there was the usual group in the sage.

But I noticed one solitary ladybird hanging on for dear life in the second monkey puzzle tree. Had she been blown out of the original hideaway ? Or had she just got fed up of the others ? She'll need to hang on - the winds keep coming back
