Marcel

Our 'proper' car, a Hyundai Santa Fe, is in the garage being serviced. So we are using lovely Marcel, our 30 year old Renault 4L Fourgonette Vitrée.

It's a pretty rare model, so, even in the country where plenty of quatrelles (4Ls) endure, we receive plenty of knowing glances as we travel around.

Just yesterday our young builder and landscaper were impressed at Marcel's ability to lug a big load of wood over the rugged terrain surrounding the new house foundations. 'Une quatrelle peut aller n'importe où á n'importe quel âge. they said. Good old Marcel.
