Peekaboo mummy!

First day back at work and nursery today after the new year break, and the girls and I had an interesting chat on the way to nursery this morning. It's only a 5 minute drive, but some of the highlights were "How were we born Mummy?", and "how did we get in your tummy Mummy" (always a dilemma as their own circumstances weren't exactly typical on either of those questions) and then a seemingly random discussion about how baby cats are chickens who then turn into cats when they get older. I finally figured out that they actually meant kittens, but I have to say I was a bit confused for a while.

They were really naughty at nursery today with neither of them listening and Hannah breaking the aerial off the radio "because I wanted to", so I was dreading bedtime, but actually they weren't too bad. A bit of singing, lots of chat and then laughter and calling for Mummy. I went in ready to tell them off and to get into bed, and they were both squished under their beds, hiding right at the end and laughing hysterically. They looked so gorgeous that I just had to take a pic and really didn't have the heart to be stern with them...
