Ticking Away the Moments

Sunshine on a rainy day

Survived the early start but the howling gale and rain came as a bit of a shock. One of my aims for 2012 is get out at lunchtimes and get a bit of fresh air as most days in the office, I'll get in about 8.15am, eat my lunch at my desk then carry on till about 7pm - probably not very healthy.

The weather was horrible for most of the morning, raining quite heavily so it was looking unlikely that I'd get out - and then a minor miracle happened, rain stopped and the sun came out! So I had no excuses and had to go.

Didn't have a long walk but went round the block, with the added benefit of the opportunity to take some blip photos in daylight.

This photo is taken on a quiet street behind where I work, only just off the Birmingham ring road but very quiet and with some nice old buildings. This blip is of the entrance to a Quaker Meeting house, I like the ornate pillar and of course the little bit of blue sky and sunshine in the background!

I was very lucky in my timing - got back into the office and within 5 minutes it was raining again.

On my drive home at the end of the day I saw 2 deer - they looked at me for a second then vanished back into the woods - that would have been a lovely blip but I had no chance of a photo, only saw them for a split second.
