Happy New Year

We were at my brother's until 12:30am. We went outside to watch some fireworks but the kids decided that the ones on the telly were better !
After lunch, we went to visit an aunt that lives on a farm. The kids love to go there as it is so different to their urban lives. Hubby was at home cooking dinner and he had warned us not to eat too much. Our aunt sat us down at the kitchen table and served tea, mince pies, slices of bread and cold meats. This was then followed by a pavlova. Then a plate of roast potatoes. Of course, the kids were stuffed by the time we got home and hubby had cooked two big dishes of lasagne.
My brother in law, his wife and two kids came round for dinner.
After they left, I told myself that the eating and drinking needs to stop!
