Goodbye ...

... until next Christmas. As much as I absolutely love Christmas and take great delight in decorating the house and making Christmas as magical as possible I do enjoy taking the decorations down again. I know, I'm strange but there is something tremendously satisfying and cleansing in clearing away all the clutter and returning the house to normal. Most years I leave a lot of the everyday clutter thats been cleared out of the way for Christmas away - it's wonderful to have an almost minimalist house for a short time. Clutter soon reappears but I love that short time when the house feels just a little bigger and neater than usual.
