Hmmm. I painted him many years ago and though I had done a pretty neat job, but the camera never lies and the macro lens doubly so!

It just goes to show that you can't use a new tool to gauge old work.

You have to put an LP on and listen to it, with all the surface noise, and just enjoy it for what it is and not yearn for the clean, some say, sterile, digital sound.

So it is with our achievements, you can't measure them by any standard but the ones which were in play at the time.

And behaviour. The way we behave today cannot be compared with yesteryear, we aren't cavemen, or Victorians. Thereby we think different to our parents, as they think differently as compared to our grandparents. Why then do we expect to understand our children?
