Catching the wind

I went out for a longer walk at lunchtime and enjoyed the bright sunshine but it was very windy and quite cold.

I saw this red kite flying overhead fairly early on in my walk. It was so close, I thought it might land. I'm not sure if a dog walker disturbed it. The kite was swooping around in the strong wind and looked amazing with the sun on its head.

We're so lucky to see so many of these majestic birds.
