The Visit

A race across the countryside after work today to visit Grandad in hospital. He had a nasty fall on the eve of my departure for Kathmandu and broke his elbow, amongst other injuries. A three and a half hour drive got us there in time for visiting hours, my parents also drove over so it was nice to see them too. He looks much better than I expected and certainly hasn't lost his sense of humour...joking about his next dive to eat carpet instead of kitchen lino!

A race back across the country and now to bed before another busy day tomorrow. I'll sleep well knowing he is on the road to recovery.
