Giotto's Tower, Leeds

Florence? No, it's a mill chimney in Leeds. I love these old buildings that I know well from the 1980s when I worked for the Yorkshire Post. There's the temple at Edfu and a maharajah's palace. In less than a square mile we visited Italy, Egypt and India in one of the North of England's great industrial cities. A feature on these wonderful buildings here.

We called at Dewsbury market on the way and had a lovely fish and chip lunch, all very nostalgic.
